Foods that reduce dry skin

It is very easy to have dry skin due to a lot of factors, it actually occurs when the skin does not have enough moisture. Basically the skin does not retain water.

CAUSES OF DRY SKIN

Because of age, excess fat insulation, and harsh chemical substances, skin cells tend to dehydrate (lose moisture). This makes the skin rough, crackled and unattractive.

Dry skin could occur as a result of these factors; using harsh soaps on skin, taking your bath frequently (this is actually supposed to help the skin right?), the weather (which may not be favourable for your skin at that time), aging (well, who can escape that) and most importantly because you are not eating enough of the foods that reduces dry skin.

Yes, there are synthetic ways of reducing dry skin; it could be using an ointment cream rather than a lotion regularly, applying moisturizers immediately after bathing and other numerous cosmetic treatments which do a pretty good job.

But, a healthful diet does more for the health and beauty of the skin than any external applications or cosmetic treatments. I believe this is because the state of the skin has more to do with what is happening inside you as a result of foods that you eat.

Sensitivity to nutritional deficiencies

The skin’s cells are being replaced constantly. Therefore they need a constant supply of nutrients for the production of new cells. This makes the skin particularly sensitive to nutritional deficiencies, especially proteins, essential fatty acids, vitamins A, C, iron and zinc.

Eliminatory organ:

 The skin is referred to as “the third kidney” since it is actively involved in the bodys purifying processes. Certain amounts of the toxins that circulate within the blood are eliminated through the skin. However, the eliminatory capability of the skin can be overtaxted when there is an increased concentration of toxins due to;
